SAabcfox's iconic Kofi Annan

Kofi Annan was the secretary general of the United Nations between 1997 and 2006, when Ban Ki Moon (who himself also became a meme) took office. The first game featuring Kofi Annan was started by Dr. Rostov, and began, "The Secretary General of the United Nations decides that today will be the day he finally proposes to his beautiful world globe." In this game, and in future games, SAabcfox's initial depiction of the Kofi (with the frazzled grey beard and hair, dark blue jacket, white shirt and red tie) became the standard depiction of Kofi. Alternatively, he was depicted as a black man with a grey beard and the UN symbol on his person.

By December 2006, the backlash against Kofi Annan's forced prevalence (caused primarily by Rostov and elzaban) combined with the creation of the new meme, the Scissors King, had caused Kofi to decline as a meme. To this date, there are still a number of new games that feature him, however, they are far and few between. He is primarily seen now in games that depict a wide variety of Sentence Game memes.
